We are so proud to be celebrating our 11th year of Read on Hyer this year! This beloved fundraiser, created and developed by the Hyer PTA, has two primary goals: to foster a love of reading in our children and to raise necessary funds to support our school. Students obtain pledges for their reading during the event, and earn rewards based on both their reading minutes and their own fundraising efforts. These exciting rewards include prizes, celebration parties and special reading events!

PLEDGE GOAL

EACH STUDENT RAISES $200 IN PLEDGES

REGISTER YOUR STUDENT

Register at https://pledgestar.com/readonhyer. Create an account and add your student.
Register by Thursday, February 6th at 10 pm AND make two pledge requests to receive a participation prize.

Ask for Pledges

Log in to Pledgestar to enter family and friends' names and email addresses.
Personalized pledge requests will be emailed to each emailed address submitted.
All pledge amounts are flat-rate donations not tied to reading minutes.
All pledge donations are tax deductible.
All pledges must be made online.
Pledges made between siblings has an option to split evenly or separately between them. Once selected, this cannot be changed.
All pledges are due by Wednesday, February 12 at 10 pm to be applied to the leaderboards

READING GOAL

150 MINUTES AT HOME

Paper Reading Log

READ AT HOME

With the exception of PreK students, each student's reading goal is 150 minutes at home.
Reading minutes for emerging readers may include listening to a parent or sibling read, or listen to an audio book.

TRACK READING MINUTES

Each student should track his or her reading minutes. An optional paper reading log is provided to help record the minutes.
Parents will record their student's home reading minutes online at https://pledgestar.com/readonhyer.
Minutes must be recorded online by Wednesday, February 12 at 10 pm

HOMERUN READERS

Students are encouraged to read at least 150 minutes; however, we want every Hyer Husky to achieve the following reading goals to further promote good reading habits!

HOMERUN READER TARGETS

PreK: No required minutes
Kinder: 200 total minutes
First: 250 total minutes
Second: 300 total minutes
Third: 350 total minutes
Fourth: 400 total minutes

REWARDS

ALL SCHOOL CELEBRATION ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH
