It's Time to Saddle Up for The Reading Rodeo!
This Beloved fundraiser, created and developed by the Hyer PTA, has two primary goals: to foster a love of reading in our children and to raise necessary funds to support our school. Students obtain pledges for their reading during this event, and earn rewards based on their reading minutes and their fundraising efforts!

PLEDGE GOAL
Each Student Raises $200 in Pledges
REGISTER YOUR STUDENT

Register at www.pledgestar.com/readonhyer. Create an account and add your student.

Register by February 11th AND make two pledge requests to receive a participation prize.
Ask for Pledges

Log in to Pledgestar to enter the names and email addresses of family and friends.

Personalized pledge requests will be emailed to each emailed address submitted.

All pledge amounts are flat-rate donations not tied to reading minutes.

All pledge donations are tax-deductible.

All pledges must be made online.

Pledges made between siblings has an option to split evenly or separately between them. Once selected, this cannot be changed.

All pledges are due by February 11th at 10:00 pm to be applied to the leaderboards.
READING GOALS
Students are encouraged to meet their grade level reading goal. Reading minutes for emerging readers may include listening to a parent read, a sibling read, or an audiobook.
GRADE LEVEL READING GOALS

PreK: NO required minutes
-
Kinder: 200 total minutes (29 minutes per day)

First: 250 total minutes (38 minutes per day)

Second: 300 total minutes (43 minutes per day)

Third: 350 total minutes (50 minutes per day)

Fourth: 400 total minutes (57 minutes per day)
TRACK READING MINUTES

Each student should track his or her reading minutes. An optional paper reading log is provided to help record the minutes.

Parents will record their student's home reading minutes online at www.pledgestar.com/readonhyer

Minutes must be recorded online by February 11th at 10:00 pm.
