Safety Week

Monday, October 31 to Friday, November 4

Chair: Brooke Noffsinger

We know bike riding can be thrilling and fun - but Hyer students are going to learn the rules of the road so they can ride safely around the neighborhood.

All week, students will learn fun facts and rules that will have them cruising to school safely with the wind in their hair and a smile on their face.

Hyer Safety week Bikers Ed will be filled with Safety Videos, Helmet Fitting Lessons, and a special BMX Trick Bike Show for the entire school.   This event will be on Thursday, November 3rd.  PreK, Kinder, 1st and 3rd grades will assemble at 8:45 am; the 3rd and 4th graders will assemble at 9:45 am.  Pass the Bikers Ed Exam on Thursday, November 3rd, and students will earn their "Biker License."

Dust off that bike and take it for a spin on Friday, November 4th for Hyer's annual Bike Rodeo.  Students in 1st - 4th grade will show off their Bikers Ed knowledge as they cruise the bikers course around campus to earn a special treat!  Parents will be able to come watch their child as they ride.  See the Bike Rodeo Schedule
